How to power supply the Peltier Cell from a PC?
Powering the Peltier module from the ATX computer power supply
Depending on the needs, each ATX computer power supply has the necessary voltage to supply the Peltier Modules. Molex plug (power supply for ATA drives and disks - http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molex), has the following cables:
- yellow + 12V
- black - GND - mass
- black - GND - mass
- red + 5V
for example:
When connecting the modules between terminals: ground and + 5V - the cell will emit less energy, so it will not need a large heat sink to dissipate heat.
