Power Cord Grommet

NOTE: The grommet can be exchanged both in radios, where it was mounted (Alan, Midland, TTi) and on radios with a rubber grommet, eg President, Uniden.

It happens that the power cable is damaged, it is caused by breaking or breaking the insulation at the entrance to the radio, it is show by the burning of the fuse as a result of the short circuit. The defect can be easily removed by shortening the power cables and installing a new insulating grommet, with pliers pressing the strain relief.
